Asthma Treatment
Asthma is a chronic, non infectious, respiratory condition that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways, resulting in breathing difficulties and/or coughs. Treatment with the ZMedicAir device significantly reduces the frequency and severity of asthma attacks and, as a result, also the use of drugs and steroids, that are conventionally used to this aim.

Pathophysiology of Asthma
The shortness of breath during an asthma attack stems from the narrowing of the air ways, the bronchi, as a result the contraction of the bronchus muscles, fluids discharged into their lumen and development of edema in their walls.
The narrowing of the bronchus limits the air volume passing through them and as a result of that the gas exchange rate in the lungs is reduced, and the person experiences shortness of breath, the severity of which depends on the level of bronchus narrowing.
Asthma attack possible triggers:
-
Allergens: dust, pollen, animal hair...

ZMedicAir Device Asthma Treatment
Short term effect
The breathing of the singlet oxygen-enriched air produced by the ZMedicAir device induces immediate relief to people suffering from breathing difficulties. According to patients, the air feels fresher and easier to breath.
Long term effect
The frequency and severity of asthma attacks are dramatically reduced. As a result, the need for medication and steroids is also reduced. Patients, who usually require preventative drugs at certain times of the year, have reported on taking no medication at all following the treatment. In addition, damage, incurred by years of asthma attacks, has been shown to heal, significantly improving the patient's condition.
